The lovely ocean

So I know that if you've logged on in the last few days you've seen...this. What is it? It's supposed to resemble the 'deep blue'. Yeah. Because Stardoll thinks we should get so into this little 3rd grade mermaid theme that they set it as their layout. Wow. That, is dedication right there.

I'm sick and tired of looking at it after two log-ins. I mean....I wouldn't mind it if it was all the greyish bluish that it is at the bottom, but it gets darker at the top. Since when does the ocean get darker the farther up you go? I'll have to look into this. Next fall I've got something to tell my teachers about.

*sigh*. I saw the headline in the Magazine. I clicked. I hoped for a miracle. I hoped for something.....un-ugly. Annnnnddddd........ there it was.

More. Shiny. Purple. But, Stardoll one-upped itself. There's light pink this tome too. NOOOOOOOOOOO.

Honestly. Who wants to wear a necklace of pink, shiny boobs? And the black skirt? Gag.

In my opinion, the only good thing is the romper.

What is Stardoll's obsession with horrible, vile, ugly, discusting, shiny clothes? Someone PLEASE explain this to me!

So I'm sure you've all heard of the LE store in the Starplaza (if you haven't....no comment). This store features pretty much average clothes (with the occasional jaw-dropper ;-]) priced at well over 100 Stardollars. Why? Because Stardoll loves to take advantage of tween/teen girls desperate for something to spend their money on.

A few days ago, I got this letter in the mail. If you didn't get it, it's because you haven't boughten anything from the LE store before. It's an offer for a new rosey/pinkish tunic dress with diamonds on the shoulders. Yes, it may be slightly cute, but no. I am NOT spending 250 SD on it. Sorry Stardoll! =P

Have you read the Private series by Kate Brian? If not......WHY? Known to some (including me) as some of the best books on the plannet, I don't see why you haven't read them. They're told by Reed Brennen, a 'nobody' from Pennsylvania. She gets accepted to Easton Academy, one of the country's best boarding schools. Once there, she first lays eyes on the Billings Girls. DKNY Disapointment

The last time stardoll came out with DKNY was in July of '08. Many stardoll users got impatient and eager so see the new line of DKNY coming out. August passed...and not much thought went into it. Then fall came, and everyone saw the real DKNY of Fall '08 on Donna Karen's dkny.com website and sure enough everyone became mad and even more impatient, September, October and November passed and fashionista's were very ticked off. Soon, it was Winter, and people were writing to stardoll complaining about the delay. I speak for everyone when I say we were expecting something big, bold and amazing to make last year's beautiful winter collection look like dirt. Nothing, came. With New Year in full swing, stardoll sparked to life when people saw a free New Year's dress come out, this was clearly a sign that the winter collection was on it's way. Well... *sigh* if that's what you thought, you were wrong. Again.



So finally today stardoll announces to the public they're coming out with the Spring '09 collection. I saw the picture-preview of the collection, and it was nothing short of pathetic and ugly. The theme is converses-heels and 60s strips. Excuse me? It took your numb-skulls a whole year to make this.....this..... shit? What the heck happened to your fabulous sequins, wool and leather. What happened to the beautiful DKNY?



Clearly, DKNY prices will be going down, this collection- and all of last year's collections will never sell for big bucks like the other 1st Season and Christmas Collections have.

Starplaza.

I've been a member of Stardoll for a little over two years now. I remember when instead of Fame, Fashion, and Friends, Stardoll's logo was Paperdoll Heaven. Stardoll USED to have some really nice clothes once in a while. Now? NO. What's with the latest theme? Fourth grade slumber party? Puh-lease! We want more DKNY! It doesn't even have to be DKNY I guess.....just make it good! Something I can wear and not feel like I'm back in fifth grade!

Fashion.Dolly, LBR for Life

Yestarday another one of my stardoll friends and I got into a conflict with Fashion.Dolly, so it all came down to a vote of who should be Elite Alpha's of her roleplay club. ChanelGurl23 and I were in the lead by far, when she all-of-a-sudden banned us, and every member who voted for us. Now it that really fair? We were in the lead, so she chickens out and tries blocking out the problem, when really she's making it ah-lot worse.
